About Us
Welcome to a great community event where we celebrate the Earth. Stockton's Earth Day Festival has a long history of helping people recognize the importance of caring for our Planet's environment and its natural resources. The Festival has grown over the years but it remains true to its mission of education, conservation and recycling. The Earth Day Festival continues to draw a larger and more diverse crowd each year and provides an opportunity for the community to learn through educational exhibits and "green" activities. The Festival brings families, children, adults, business people and earth lovers of all kinds to Victory Park to enjoy a variety of activities, presentations and entertainment all in the name of learning how to protect our environment. The all-volunteer Festival Organizing Committee has helped share its vision with thousands of people each year. We are grateful for the sponsors, volunteers, schools and community organizations that help make this a remarkable annual event in our community. |
About the Festival
Stockton and San Joaquin County will celebrate its 32nd Earth Day Festival on TO BE ANNOUNCED from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Victory Park behind Haggin Museum. “Climate Action Now-Vote Earth” is the theme of this area’s premier environmental event and will focus on educating local residents in taking care of our environment. It is a fun day for kids and families, and admission is free.
Through an array of informative, interactive booths, demos, displays and exhibits, this annual Festival is a chance for local area schools, environmental organizations, community agencies and green businesses to come together to share ideas and discuss important environmental issues with area residents. Over 70 vendors will participate, including some great healthy food fare.
Join other local cyclists, young and old, and peddle to the Festival and park your bicycle in a free secure Bike Corral staffed by the San Joaquin Bike Coalition as you enjoy the activities at the Festival.
Warm-up for the day with stretching during a relaxing hour of Yoga on the park green starting at 9 a.m. Whether you are a beginner or have practiced for many years, join us for this outdoor yoga session.
Local scientists and concerned citizens will “March for Science” at 10 a.m. around Victory Park. This walk will focus on the responsible application of science to government. The marchers will circle the park advocating for continuing and developing positive policies that will ensure that the earth's resources are protected and are shared responsibly for the well-being of all her inhabitants and all future generations.
